The store experienced a significant rise in lux levels, creating a welcoming environment for customers and staff, and operational efficiency was improved with a new control system.
Pre-install:
The store faced issues with aging and failing T5 lights, especially in entry and checkout areas, resulting in a dark environment and diminished visibility. The existing lighting system operated on a DALI control system, laying the groundwork for potential improvements.
What we did:
We developed a comprehensive lighting design to address challenges, replacing outdated T5 lights with efficient LEDs for energy savings and enhanced illumination. The DALI control system was upgraded for seamless integration, strategically extending the new lighting system to the store and drive-through areas.
Diffusers were added to mitigate glare, creating a comfortable environment, and a meticulous one-for-one replacement of lights ensured a smooth transition to superior lighting technology.
Lux levels significantly improved, reaching 1207 in the store (compared to an expected 979 with the same lumen LED) and 564 in the drive-through (compared to an expected 419).
Outcome:
The comprehensive upgrade significantly boosted lux levels, creating a well-lit and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the upgraded DALI controllers improved management and control, enhancing operational efficiency and adaptability.
The previous lights at Global Bus Ventures were extremely dated and had been running for long periods without being replaced
